About Jason

Quickly making a name for himself both as a founding member of Todesbonden (Prophecy Productions) as well as a solo recording artist (both as Ol Sonuf and under his own name), after releasing a rapid-fire string of 6 back-to-back solo albums from 2012 to 2017, guitarist and one-man band JASON AARON WOOD has taken the Metal world by storm, demonstrating a level of versatility that truly sets him apart from the majority of bands out there, leaving the listener only to wonder "What CAN'T this guy do?"

Already having set the bar incredibly high in a range of styles, including neoclassical/jaz/flamenco-infused acoustic trios, classic metal/hard rock, atmospheric doom, symphonic black metal, old school death metal, blackened death metal, and even having his music featured on National Lampoon's The Legend of Awesomest Maximus, Jason is back at it with his newest single "Sycophant," now additionally displaying his mastery of technical death metal, not only as a virtuoso guitarist and songwriter, but also as a vocalist, lyricist, bassist, composer & producer.

Additionally, Jason has founded ShredMentor Rock Guitar Academy, offering high-calibre instruction to tomorrow's shred virtuosos, has performed a number of clinics and self-published 3 books so far, and is an official endorser for INTEX Cables.
